Peach Tree Street - May 4th, 2009

Today, I added a bass guitar to accompany the rhythm guitar after the intro.

Although I believe that I had the right idea, I think that the bass guitar is too "present" in the mix. My goal was to have a slow bass line that was understandable, contrasted the rhythm guitar, and did not distract from the piece. However, because the bass line is too noticeable, I believe that it fails this criteria by being too distracting. Regardless, the rest of the song is mostly complete (although I just thought of adding a rainstick at the end of it to produce the same wind effect that I created at the beginning of the song).

I would like to rerecord the bass line using a real bass, however I currently have no access to one. Once I do, I should be able to lay down a good bass guitar track that will be able to be mixed into the rest of the song with ease. After that, I simply need to add the rainstick to the end of the song to give it resolve and it will be finished.
